Substitute the values for the variables. Since we are given that x=3 and y=5, the new equations will be 4(3)-2(5) and 2(3)^2+ 3(5)^2.

4•3=12
2•5=10

12-10= 2.

Therefore, 4(3)-2(5)=2.

3•3=9

9•2=18

5•5=25

25•3=75.

75+18=93

So, 2(3)^2+ 3(5)^2=93.

The answers will be 2 and 93

Answer:

4 × 3 - 2 × 5 = 12 - 10 = 2

2x² + 3y² = 2 × 9 + 3 × 25 = 18 + 75 = 93
