=98

(x+34)

=82

Explanation:

a straight line adds up to 180

(2x+2)+(x+34)=180

x+2+x+34=180

(2x+x)+(2+34)=180(Combine Like Terms)

3x+36=180

3x+36=180

Step 2: Subtract 36 from both sides.

3x+36−36=180−36

3x=144

Step 3: Divide both sides by 3.

3x/3=144/3

x=48

Now you have your x just substitute it in

(2x+2)

=98

(x+34)

=82
