We know this is a straight line because the points when graphed, and while you can eliminate the rest of the answers then and there, I will also explain the slope.

You can find the slope by counting how many units we move to the right or left and putting that number over the number of units we move up or downwards. For this equation the slope is six because to get to the next point, we move over 6 and only up one, so it's 6/1, or 6.
