The way that helps me a lot is taking the total number divided by 100 and then times it by the percent you need. For example if it’s 850 students you would divide that by hundred and then times it by 12 (12%) getting an answer of 102.

Answer:

None 102, one sport 357, two sports 238 and three sports153

Explanation:

for me its easier to convert the percentage to a decimal.

example 12 % = 0.12

850 students x 0.12 = 102. Repeat for the others
