Answer:

She had suffered from different types of mental issues such as depression and anxiety, which a lot of people deal with. There were multiple occasions where she had hinted towards those struggles within her poetry. She also had been dealing with her Mother being sick, and that could have contributed to the sadder/darker parts of her work. Dealing with any of these struggles can really cause a person to go dark, and using poetry is a good way to get those emotions out and help to cope with them.

Answer:

she was said to suffer from anxiety and depression and both of those topics can either be seen or hinted at within her poetry. suffering from those can or caused her writing to either turn dark or towards the worst with some unexpected endings. based off a biography written it was said she was saw with pitiful expressions most likely caused by her sick mother. her mother being sick could have also added in a level of darkness to her writing.
