So, a prodigy is an ability that is usually a particularly "amazing" one. Hence, for the paragraph, the girl seems to see the prodigy of being able to withstand her own thoughts and feelings, as she said her mind is filled of won'ts, which she then even goes on to say that she won't be what she isn't. Which, the reflection is of herself, so it's basically a self vs. self conflict here that gives way to the girl's definition of "prodigy", that I already explained. I hoped this helped!
