You need to use the distance formula.


\sqrt{(x_(2)-x_(1))^(2) +(y_(2)-y_(1))^(2)}

Ex: (1,2) and (1,16)

You will need to lable each

1st Point: 1 will be
x_(1) and 2 will be
y_(1)

2nd Point: 1 will be
x_(2) and 16 will be
y_(2)

Then you will need to plug it in


\sqrt{(1-1)^(2) +(16-2)^(2)}
