In today's society, there are more and more people with racist mentality than people want to admit. "Immigrants" have to wait 6-10+ years just to come here legally. Thats f-ed up??? We wont get into politics, but 100% believe with the brutality that comes in society, it is way more difficult to even live and be accepted it was (even with the horrid society.)

Depends. Immigrants as a whole probably have it better now, as there are a lot of social programs. The US is a lot less racist now as well, even if it doesn’t seem like it. Immigrants in the past were given American names, they were crammed on a boat, and when they got here they did menial labor. A lot of this labor was extremely dangerous. Such as coal mining and chimney sweeping. Today immigrants sometimes still have to take less desirable jobs but there are a lot more laws and regulations. So I think being an immigrant in the past was probably worse.
