What is the equation of the line that passes through the points (4, 5) and (7, 3)

Answer:

y = -2/3x + 23/3

Explanation:

Let equation of the line be y = mx + c

m = (3-5)/(7-4) = -2/3 gradient/slope formula

sub (4, 5)

5 = -2/3 (4) + c

c = 23/3

therefore, equation of the line is y = -2/3x + 23/3
