First get the multiples of 12: -1, -12 -2, -6 -3, -4 (we use negatives, because we need a positive 12, and a negative 11).

Next, set it up like this: (2x - ) (x- ).

Then plug in (2x-3) and (x -4), and use rainbow to double check.

Then take 2x-3=0 and x -4 =0 to get x.

2x-3=0, add 3 to both sides, leaving you with 2x=3, then divide by 2 to get x alone which leaves x= 3/2, could use 1.5 or 1 (1/2) too.

Then do the same with x-4=0, add 4 to both sides leaving x= 4.

Answers are x= 3/2 and 4.
