A school is organizing a classical music concert to finance a skiing trip. There are 100 tickets for sale: $ 15 tickets for adults and $ 9 for youth. Students sold three times as many adult tickets as youth tickets.

The goal of amassing $ 800 has been exceeded. In total, how many tickets were sold?

Answer:

there were 18 adult tickets were sold and 54 kid tickets were sold so there were 72 tickets sold

Explanation:

15 x 18 = 270 x 3 = 810

or if lower 15 x 17 = 255 x 3 = 765

Explanation:

75% of all purchases are 15$ and 25% of them are 9$ so if you get 75% of 800, 600, and 25% of it , 200, and multiply 600 by 15 and 200 by 9 you would get 9000 and 1800. and then add them you would get 1800.
