We can say that angle 1 is a corresponding angle to angle 9 because

  • a) The two angles are in the same position of their four corner configuration (both are in the north of each four corner configuration)
  • b) the angles mentioned are at points that are adjacent to one another. Point A is adjacent to point D

Similarly, angles 4 and 12 are corresponding as well. They are both in the east quadrant and point A is adjacent to point B. A similar thing happens with angles 5 and 7.
