in trig there are three functions: sin, cosine, and tan

when using trig, you are supposed to pick one angle to make the equation according to

sin= opposite ÷ hypotenuse

cosine= adjacent ÷ hypotenuse

tan= opposite ÷ adjacent

For example 13:

make the equation according to angle 41

you have the adjacent side and opposite side, so use the tan function

tan(41) =
(4)/(x)

move x so that it becomes a numerator by multiplying both sides by x:

(x) tan(41) = 4

divide both sides by sin(41): x = 4 ÷ tan(41)

plug this into your calculator to get 4.6
