So here we have an equation with a negative slope. And it wants us to find the perpendicular slope

So if our slope is negative, the slope perpendicular to that would be the positive reciprocal.

Let m= -A/B so the slope perpendicular to that would be B/A

Here our slope is -1/4 so the slope perpendicular to that would be -(-4/1) which is just 4

Therefore your perpendicular slope would be 4
