Our meal at the school cafeteria costs $3.45. Your friend's meal costs $3.90. You pay for both meals with a $10 bill. How much change do you receive?

Given :

Cost of our meal = $3.45 .

Cost of friend's meal = $3.90 .

We pay $10 bill for both the thing.

To Find :

How much change do you receive.

Solution :

Total cost of meal = $3.45 + $3.90 = $7.35 .

Now, amount of change received is :

Change = Total amount - Price of meal

Change = $10 - $7.35

Change = $2.65

Hence, this is the required solution.
