Answer:

A. 0.2149

B. 0.6512

Explanation:

Hello,

Please follow up properly with the steps in the attachment to get the right answer. Also use a good scientific calculator to arrive at the answer

We used a poisson distribution for This problem

λ = n p

n = 400

P = 1/100

λ = np = 400 x 1/100 = 4

P(X=x) = e^- λ. λ ^x/x!

= e^-4* 4^x/x!

A.

Probability of more than 5

1-p(0)+p(1)+p(2)+p(3)...p(5)

The answer is 0.2149

B.

Probability of between 3 cars and 6 cars

P(3)+p(4)...p(6)

= 0.6512
