Jordan is working on this addition problem 8/15 + 1/6

He decides to use 60 as a common denominator because 15x 4=60 and 6 x 10 .

Since Jordan is not using the least common demoninator, he needs an extra step after he adds the fractions . What does jordan need to do once he adds the fractions

Answer:

Divide the denominator from the numerator

Explanation:

(8)/(15) + (1)/(6) \\ \\ (8 * 60 / 15)/(60) + (1 * 60 / 6)/(60) \\ \\ (32)/(60) + (11)/(60) \\ (43)/(60)

I hope this answer helps :)
