A farm has 56 horses and sheep in all. There are 8 fewer sheep than horses. How many horses are there on the farm?

Answer:

32 Horses

Explanation:

32-8=24

There are 32 horses and 24 sheep (As you can see there are 8 fewer sheep than horses)

I sort of guess and checked:

  • I tried to think of 2 numbers that added to 56 but one number was 8 less than the other one.
  • I figured out that 32 and 24 fit this description :)
