Cyclical changes in the shape of earth's orbit cause gradual climate change because when shape of Earth's orbit changes , the amount of radiation and sunlight it receives also changes , this causes places that did not receive alot of sunlight to become lit , and places with sunlight before to become a little dim than before , this variation over a period of years , decades causes gradual climate change.
