What does a number in parentheses cause the graph to do?

Either makes the graph increase (to the right) or decrease (to the left) to the right if it’s a positive and to the left if it’s a negative

A number in parentheses causes the graph to either shift the graph left adding a negative or shifting the graph right and subtracting.
