I believe the conflicts that Tiresias told Odysseus describe the theme. The theme is mostly hospitality, loyalty, and vengeance.So when Tiresias tells Odysseus everything that will happen to him and how he can make it home alive, Odysseus show these characteristics by following instructions given by Tiresias.Therefore,I think these conflicts describe the theme.
