Explanation:


y - 8 = 1(x + 2) \\ y = x + 2 + 8 \\ y = x + 10


m = (y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1) = (8 - 2)/( - 2 - ( - 8)) = (6)/(6) = 1


y - y0 = m(x - x0)
