Explanation: Standard form of equation of line is y=mx+c , where c is the y-intercept. So the y-intercept is −6
The slope-intercept form is y=mx+b y = m x + b , where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept. Using the slope-intercept form, the y-intercept is 0 .
So according to our formula of y=mx+b, where m is slope, our slope is −72 which would also be −3.5
Explanation: The slope-intercept form is y=mx+b where m is the slope value. In the equation y=2x , the m value is 2 . Therefore, 2 is the slope.
It is written as Ax+By=C. You can also change slope-intercept form to standard form like this: Y=-3/2x+3. Next, you isolate the y-intercept(in this case it is 3) like this: Add 3/2x to each side of the equation to get this: 3/2x+y=3. You can not have a fraction in standard form so you solve this.
the X- and Y-Intercepts of a Line in Slope-Intercept Form? To find the x-intercept of a given linear equation, plug in 0 for 'y' and solve for 'x'. To find the y-intercept, plug 0 in for 'x' and solve for 'y'.
To find the y-intercept let x = 0 and solve for y. Step 3: Find the x-intercept(s). To find the x-intercept let y = 0 and solve for x. You can solve for x by using the square root principle or the quadratic formula (if you simplify the problem into the correct form).
