What role did native Americans play in the economy of New France

Answer: basically, the native americans helped the french by growing small scale agriculture, more food (from the agriculture) meant more trading, and putting more money into frances economy :) they also were a key part and traded with the french a ton (they were like one of the main trade groups) and the french would give them beaver furs in exchange for misc things from europe like copper and coffee.
