(1-2 Paragraphs) If you were a peasant living during the Middle Ages, would you choose to live on a Manor or in a Town?

Be sure to answer in complete sentences. In your answer you should provide a claim (an answer to the question) and provide at least three (3) reasons to support your claim. Each of your reasons to support your claim should be separate sentences. Your reasons could support the choice you made or explain why you would not want to live in the opposite choice.

Answer:

I would like to live in a town rather then a manor. Towns were good for people because it freed them from the social structure. Manors were controlled by their lords, and lords had to be loyal to the kings. Towns in the middle age were typically small and crowded. Most of the houses were made of wood, and they tended to lean over time.

A typical manor would include a Manor House which was built apart from the village where the peasants lived. There wasn't very many people around if you lived in a manor, so if something happened there would be no one to help.

Sorry I have no ideas for the second paragraph but I hope the first one helped :)
