Can someone review a pythagorean theorem scenario i had to make

I was going to paint my house.my house is 35 feet tall. I need to borrow a ladder from my neighbor and I have to think about my front porch which is 10 feet out from the house. What size ladder would I need?

a2+b2=c2

a2+b2= c2

a2+102=352
a2+100=1225
100=10
1225=35
a=25

You need to make the lenght of the ladder known if you need to find the A instead. Instead of finding the ladder length, make them find the house height or porch length.
