In a bag there are 3 blue marbles, 2 green marbles, 4 red marbles, 1 white marble, and 5 yellow marbles. What is the probability of drawing a green marble then drawing a blue marble from the bag? (With Replacement)

Answer:

So, you must NOT draw a yellow marble on the first draw, a probability of 8/12. Then, you must NOT draw a yellow marble on the second draw, a probability of 7/11. Then you MUST draw a yellow marble on the third draw, a probability of 4/10. So, the three required events, taken together, look like this in lowest terms:

2/3 * 7/11 * 2/5 = 28/165
