You do an experiment to find out how much light is needed to make house plants grow taller. The two variables in this experiment are amount of light and the height of the plants. Which variable is the dependent variable and which is the independent variable? Explain your answer.

Answer: To grow strong seedlings, the light should be placed close to the tray, and raised as the plants grow taller. The Independent variable of this experiment is the light that enter the plant. The Dependent variable is the height of the plant.
