Do you think that Mr. Birkway did the right thing by sharing the journals aloud? Why or why not? How would you feel if your teacher shared a journal you wrote with the class? Should the kids have expected that their thoughts would not be private?

Answer:

I personally think what Mr.Birkway did was not the right thing to do as it can seem like an intrusion of privacy to share something a student has written with their classmates and/or peers. I would've felt a lack of trust and intrusion of privacy with a slight bit of betrayal. The kids shouldn't have expected the journals to be read aloud because it's a very unlikely event to take place, as a teacher would want their students to trust them for the reasoning of being able to understand the students enough to properly teach them.

Step-by-step explanation:

this may seem unlikely for teachers to want to have a trusting relationship with the students but out of all schools I've been to with all the teachers, you gradually form a bond, positively or you'll just hate the teacher cause they probably broke levels of trust.
