It's the number we multiply our independent variable by to get the y. You can find this by simply dividing the y value by the x value!

Let's choose the first order pair (2, 3.76).


3.76 / 2 = 1.88

We can check that this table IS constant by doing the same with the other values... we should always get 1.88!


7.52 / 4 = 1.88\\9.40 / 5 = 1.88\\15.04 / 8 = 1.88

This is true for all values - which means our constant is 1.88
