Kate will have left for the park at 1:44.

Explanation:

Take the time of arrival, 2:32, and the time it took to arrive at the park, 48 minutes.

From there, work within the span of one hour, because time works in units of 60, and our numbers don't.

So, you have 0:32 - 0:48 = - 16.

We have to "borrow" from the previous hour, 1.

So, 0:60 - 16 = 44.

Which makes our time of arrival 1:44.
