Hii om gosh so I am having a rough time trying to solve this problem for geometry. If you can tell me if what I have so far is right and what else I need, I’d really really appreciate it!!!

x=6

Both sides need to equal out to the same number

2•6 = 12
12+15= 27

5•6= 30
30-3= 27

Both sides equal out to the same number so 6 would be the correct answer.

Sorry I’m not very good at explaining things I hope this helps!!

Answer:

x = 6

Explanation:

In order to find the value of x, first we need to prove the triangles PQS and RQS as congruent. Let us do it.

In\: \triangle PQS \:\&amp; \:\triangle RQS\\\\</p><p>PS \cong SR.... (given) \\\\</p><p>\angle PSQ \cong\angle RQS... (\because QS\perp PR) \\\\</p><p>QS \cong QS... (Common \: side) \\\\</p><p>\therefore \triangle PQS \cong \triangle RQS.. (SAS \: Postulate) \\\\</p><p>\therefore PQ = QR... (BY\:CSCT) \\\\</p><p>\therefore 2x + 15 = 5x - 3\\\\</p><p>\therefore 2x - 5x = - 3 - 15\\\\</p><p>\therefore - 3x = - 18\\\\</p><p>\therefore x =(-18)/(-3)\\\\</p><p>\huge \red {\boxed {\therefore x = 6}}
