Well to be honest junk food might be seen as a way to gain weight but thats only if you eat too much of it, if you eat enough junk food under your calorie range its way better and to exercise with it, is a great way to lose weight and to maintain a healthy way of life. And also throw in lots of water, fruits, and vegetables. You don’t have to give up the foods you love just cause its “bad” for you. Everything is bad for you to be honest you just have to know how to balance the food in a healthy manner. So I suggest you eat what you want but have it under 2,000 calories. And exercise on top of it with lots of water, fruits, and vegetables, between as small snacks.
