f(x) = 2x + 1

y = 2x + 1

Subtract sides -1

y - 1 = 2x + 1 - 1

y - 1 = 2x

2x = y - 1

Divided sides 2

(2)/(2)x = (y - 1)/(2) \\

x = (1)/(2)y - (1)/(2) \\

Thus ;

{f}^( - 1) = h(x) = (1)/(2)x - (1)/(2) \\
