Answer:

Using pythagoras theorem : hypotenuse² = opp² + adj ²

: hyp² = 12² + 7²

hyp² = 193

therefore hypotenuse = root of 193

Hope it helps

Answer: 14

Step-by-step explanation: The Pythagorean Theorem states that a^2 + b^2 = c^2, where a=leg one, b=leg two, and c=hypotenuse. Using this, our formula will be 12^2 + 7^2. Twelve squared is 144, and seven squared is 49. Added together, the sum is 193. To change this to an unsquared form we must square root it.
√(193) equals about 13.89. Fourteen if you round up to the nearest whole number. But just a warning, I don't know what place you are supposed to round to so you may have to use the underlined value instead.
