Were any oxygen atoms gained or lost as a result of photosynthesis?

Answer: Gained

Explaination: During photosynthesis, carbon dioxide atoms go into the leaves. When these atoms go in so does the atoms of sun rays and water. They go through a long process (too lazy to go into detail ;p) and end with oxygen, energy, and glucose. The oxygen is released adding more oxygen atoms into the atmosphere. Good luck on your school work and have a fantastic day!
