In quadrilateral ABCD, BC is perpendicular to CD

m∠BCD = 90°

(7x - 36) = 90°

7x = 90 + 36

7x = 126

x = 18

Since, m∠A = (5x + 12)

Therefore, m∠A = (5×18) + 12

= 90 + 12

= 102°

Measure of angle A = 102°
