Answer:

a) What is the greatest number of bagels she can put in each bag?

8 bagels

b) How many bags of each type of bagel will there be?

For the everything bagel = 3 bagels

For the plain bagel = 2 bagels

Explanation:

This question is solved using Greatest Common Factor

We would find the factors of 16 and 24

The factors of 16 are: 1, 2, 4, 8, 16

The factors of 24 are: 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 12, 24

Then the greatest common factor is 8.

Hence, the greatest number of bagels she can put in each bag is 8 bagels

How many bags of each type of bagel will there be

For the everything bagel , 24 ÷ 8 bagels

= 3 bagels

For the plain bagel, 16 ÷ 8 bagels

= 2 bagels
