A car has an initial velocity of 10 m/s and final velocity of 43 m/s. The time taken

to reach the final velocity was 3 seconds. What is the acceleration of the car?
Hint: Acceleration (in terms of velocity) = (final velocity - initial velocity)/(time) *

Answer:

160 m/s

Explanation:

vi= 10m/s

a= 5om/s*2

t=3 second

vf=?

frist step: find s(distance)

s=vit+1/2 at*2=10m/s x3s +0.5 x50m/s*2 (3s)*2 =30m+225m=255m

second : find vf

s=(vf+vi)/2 xt

vf=2s/t- vi=2(255m)/3s -10 m/s=170 m/s-10m/s=160m/s

Therefore , the final velocity of the car is 160m/s
