Science and humanities is two different field of study that includes diverse area that are studied. Although they are connected and inter-related at some point, but also there is huge difference between the two. Here are some difference between science and humanities:-
When it comes to the science, it is more of a scientific approach which is required for understanding of a certain thing. There are experiments that need to be performed for the same. For humanities, it is more of a critical as well as analytical approach based on which we get an understanding.
When it comes to scientific studies, the truth of occurrence of an event is mostly determined by the experiments and findings. When it comes to humanities, it can be analyzed by understanding of human behavior and through documents and data from past.
There is a requirement of logic in science and it does not become a fact until it is proven. However, humanities the facts don’t really need to be proven like in history.
Similarity
When it comes to both the topics, they are intertwined with each other and hence understanding of both can be of advantage. Both the topics require an in-depth understanding and study for better understanding. The study of subjects like history and the study of carbon dating or fossils are related as it involves finding about something that occurred in past through scientific method.
