and all together weight 3/4 of a ton

so how many baby elephants will be ,let be x a unknown number of them

so

x*(3/8) =3/4

because multiplying the number of baby elephants with their body weight gives the total weight of all baby elephants.

so

x=(3/4)*(8/4)=2

the number of baby elephants is 2
