Silicates, oxides, sulfates, sulfides, carbonates, native elements, and halides are all major mineral groups. Some examples of Silicates are quartz, feldspar, mica, amphibole, pyroxene, and olivine. Some examples of oxides are Sodium oxide, Magnesium oxide, and copper.
