Answer:

(-14,36)

Explanation:

We know the midpoint, so we can substitute for that. The formula for midpoint is (x1+x2)/2 ; (y1+y2)/2 =(Midpoint). We can make the equation:

(-2+x)/2=-8 and (-20+x)/2=8

To get rid of the division, multiply both sides by 2, and you get:

-2+x=-16 and -20+x=16

Isolate x:

-2+x=-16 and -20+x=16

+2 +2 +20 +20

__ __ ___ ___

0 -14 0 36

So, you end up with (-14,36)

Hope this helped!
