Answer: 1. The Loyalist were volunteers who , Colonel Archibald Campbell sent a Tory agent into the south, thought would flock to the kings cause of being back in control. A lot of the men did not take to the oath of loyalty to the king and only 600 enlisted and joined out of fear.

2. The Patriots followed Campbell after he withdrew his troops in fear of a rebel attack. Then Campbell launched a counter attack on Patriot wiping out a lot of his men. (Not sure if this is the answer you are looking for)

Explanation: In the South bitter civil war raged between Patriot and Loyalist Americans. the opportunity to retake Savannah and alter the course of the war had been lost.
