A quinceañera is a tradition Hispanics celebrate when a girl is turning 15. They celebrate this becuase they are stepping into womanhood.

And they are leaving their childhood behind. It's like a sweet 16 they are celebrating a big number. They have this big dress and they also have a tradition of dancing with their dad and changing their sneakers in heels because there not a little girl anymore and they give them this doll as a symbol of leaving toys behind.
