Joy makes 6.5 litres of soup, correct to the nearest 0.5 litres.

She serves the soup in 280ml portions, correct to the nearest 10ml.

22 people order this soup.

Does joy definitely have enough soup to serve 22 people?

Answer:

She can serve up to 22 people

Explanation:

Given that the total amount of soup that Joy makes in liters is 6.5L

also that the portions are in ml

280ml to liters we have 280/1000= 0.28L

our aim is to know weather 6.5L divided by 0.28L can be up to 22

let us try it out

6.5/0.28= 23.214

we have 23.

Therefore the 6.5L can serve up to 22 portions of 280ml in 6.5 L of soup
