the y intercept can be found by setting x equal to 0. so the equation becomes:
y = 4(0)-4
y = 0-4
y = -4

the y intercept is -4

to find the x intercept, do the same thing but with y (set y to 0)to get:
0 = 4x - 4
4x = 4
x = 1

the x intercept is 1
