the y< -2x + 6 is the one that crosses at 6 on the y-axis. the < indicates that you shade BELOW it, so the left side of that line is shaded because it has a negative slope.

the y> 5/4x - 6 is the one that crosses at -6 on the y-axis. the > indicates that you shade ABOVE it, so the left side would also be shaded because it has a positive slope.

so whatever point is in both of those shaded areas would satisfy both inequalities
