If XY = -1 then Y = -1 / X

Substitute the given values of X into the above formula and solve for Y:

X = 1 ⇒ Y = -1

X = -1 ⇒ Y = 1

X = 1/2 ⇒ Y = -2

X = -1/2 ⇒ Y = 2

X = 1/3 ⇒ Y = -3

X = -1/3 ⇒ Y = 3

Additional points:

X = 2 ⇒ Y = -1/2

X = -2 ⇒ Y = 1/2

If X = 0 then Y = 1/0 which means the function is undefined, therefore the curve will get close to Y = 0 (y-axis) but will not touch it.
