How would the Founding Fathers solve the problems that erupted between the northern states and the southern states?

Answer:

Originally, when there was dispute on whether to make slavery legal or not, the founding fathers realized that they could not unite the colonies of they made slavery illegal. But even though it was still legal, they hoped that it would become unpopular and die out in the future. They never planned or dreamed of the North and the South declaring war on each other. But cause this is a rhetorical question i think that founding fathers would maybe slowly pass laws that made owning slaves practically impossible or uncomfortable for the slave owners since the last thing our Founding Fathers wanted was division between the states.
